Vladislav Vanat scored his debut goal for the national team

Shaparenko managed to make amends during the first half – the midfielder made a great cross from the left flank, and Vladislav Vanat headed it accurately, scoring his first goal in the national team jersey.
The Czech Republic took the lead just before the half-time whistle, with Pavel Schulz scoring twice. The hosts extended their lead in the 79th minute, with Tomas Soucek converting a masterful penalty.
Ukraine reduced the deficit to a minimum in the 84th minute – Georgy Sudakov scored with a header, but Rebrov’s team was unable to save the game and get points.
As a result, Ukraine lost its second match in the 2024/25 Nations League – three days ago, the blue-yellows lost to Albania (1:2). The Czech Republic rehabilitated itself for its away failure in the game with Georgia (1:4).
Ukraine will play its next match on October 11 against Georgia. The match will be nominally “home” for Serhiy Rebrov’s team.
