Benfica beat Santa Clara at home, Trubin missed a goal in the first minute of the match

The Eagles scored four goals against their opponents

Benfica confidently beat on home field Santa Clara in the match of the 5th round Portuguese Championship — 4:1.

Already in the 1st minute of the match the visitors shocked the Eagles – Vinicius Lopez took advantage of a defender’s mistake and sent the ball into Anatoly Trubin’s goal.

The home team equalized midway through the first half thanks to Kerem Akturkoglu. It should be noted that on Monday, September 9, the Turkish forward scored a hat-trick in the Nations League match against Iceland (3:1).

In the 34th minute, Florentino put Benfica ahead. After the break, Antonio Silva and Angel Di Maria completed the rout.

Trubin played his fifth match for Orly this season. The goalkeeper missed four goals and kept two clean sheets.

Benfica overtook Santa Clara and rose to third place in the Portuguese championship. Trubin’s team will play their next match against Crvena Zvezda in the Champions League on September 19.
