Rukh played in the majority from the 38th minute of the match against Vorskla, but was unable to take home three points
Midfielder and captain Ruha Denis Pidgursky commented on the away draw against Vorskla (0:0) in the match of the 6th round UPL.
“We went to Poltava only for a win. That’s why we were in the best mood. However, not everything worked out. In the first half, there was a lack of dynamics and the hosts managed to escape from the pressure. Apparently, it had an effect that during the September break in the UPL, Rukh did not train with a full squad and approached the match with Vorskla in different states of readiness.”
“Even when Poltava found itself in the minority at the end of the first half, it did not bring us any dividends. The hosts retreated to their territory in large numbers and were unable to break through this “wall” because there were problems with the last pass. In addition, we had to play on a terrible lawn, and in such conditions it is easier to fight back, so we were unhappy with the draw.”
21-year-old Denis Pidgursky played in all five matches of his team in the UPL 2024/25 season that has just started.
Rukh has 10 points after five matches played in the UPL. Vitaly Ponomarev’s team currently occupies the 6th place in the tournament table.
The Lviv team will play their next match on September 21 away against Dynamo.
