India teams won gold in both categories
Women’s Chess Team of Ukraine took eighth place in Olympics 2024which took place in the capital of Hungary, Budapest.
The Ukrainians earned 16 points out of 22 possible. China and Poland got the same result, according to additional indicators the Chinese took seventh place, the Poles – ninth. The Indian team won gold, Kazakhstan took second place, the USA – third.
Men’s national team of Ukraine became 19th in her tournament. As with women, gold medals went to the Indian team. Silver went to the US team, and bronze went to Uzbekistan.
Let us recall that at the previous event in 2022, Ukraine, consisting of the Muzychuk sisters, as well as Anna Ushenina, Natalia Buksa and Yulia Osmak, won the women’s tournament. The men’s team triumphed from Uzbekistan.
