The ISU Council has confirmed the exclusion of Russians from international competitions.

This time there was a little more hope for a positive result, but I didn’t see any special conditions for this, so it would be a miracle if we were allowed in. I want to believe that by the 2026 Olympic Games, Russian leaders from all sports authorities will find a solution to achieve this and show what we are capable of. I hope that during my lifetime I will have the opportunity to perform at the international level under my native flag and hear the Russian anthem at international competitions, ”Aldoshkin told .
The exclusion of Russian athletes from international competitions in figure skating, short track speed skating and speed skating has been in effect since 2022.
