The author of the hat-trick against Celtic beat out three strikers in the voting – Taremi, Vlahovic and Sima
UEFA announced the winner in the nomination Best player second game week Champions League 2024/25.

In the voting, the German beat three competitors:

Let us remind you that the winner of the first round was Bayer midfielder Florian Wirtz, the author of the guest double against Ferenoord. Thus, for the second time in a row, a German and a representative of a Bundesliga club became victorious.
The only representative of Ukraine, Donetsk Shakhtar, crushingly lost to Atalanta (0:3) in the “home” match of the 2nd round. The third round matches will take place on October 22-23.
