The first goal of the new season was scored by New Jersey forward Stefan Nousen in the 9th minute of the match. Before the end of the period, Sheldon Keefe’s team doubled their lead thanks to an accurate shot from Johnny Kovacevic.

At the start of the second period, New Jersey brought the score to a big one – Nico Hischier scored a goal. In the middle of the final 20 minutes, Buffalo pulled one goal back through the efforts of Owen Power, but in the final minutes, New Jersey forward Paul Cotter scored into an empty net and finally put an end to all questions about the winner.

The next NHL game will take place on October 5 – Buffalo and New Jersey will play again in Prague as part of the NHL Global Series. Starts at 17:00 Kyiv time.
