Details of the disease have become known, due to which the Real Madrid goalkeeper will not be able to help the Ukrainian national team in the October Nations League matches
Details of the disease due to which the goalkeeper Real Madrid Andrey Lunin will be forced to miss the October matches Ukrainian national team V Nations League 2024/25.
As previously reported, the reason for Andrey’s withdrawal from the national team was a viral infection. It occurred in a 25-year-old football player due to poisoning. On the eve of the training camp, Lunin had a temperature of 39.5 degrees and nausea, and remained unwell. The medical service of the Madrid club promptly informed their Ukrainian colleagues about this.
In this state, the goalkeeper could not only participate in matches, but even take part in the educational and training process. Therefore, it was decided to withdraw him from the original list and replace him with his colleague from Shakhtar Dmytro Riznyk.
At the same time, it is reported that no one doubts Lunin’s professionalism and his desire to play for the Ukrainian national team, where they continue to count on him in the future.
Let us remind you that on September 7, the blue-yellows were defeated by Albania in a formally home match of the 1st round of Group B1 of the 2024/25 Nations League – 1:2. Three days later, Sergei Rebrov’s team lost to the Czech Republic (2:3) in a productive match of the 2nd round. Both fights took place in Prague.
The Ukrainian national team will play its next match on October 11 against Georgia, and on October 14 it will play against the Czech Republic. Both games will be nominally “home” for the Ukrainian team and will be held in Poznan and Wroclaw, Poland.
The composition of the national team has undergone a number of changes compared to the original list. Due to injuries, Viktor Tsygankov, Vitaly Mikolenko, Andrey Yarmolenko, Alexander Zinchenko, Ruslan Malinovsky, Andrey Lunin, Vladimir Brazhko and Alexander Pikhalenok will not be able to help the blue-yellows.
Instead of the dropped performers, Alexander Svatok, Vitaly Buyalsky and Ivan Kalyuzhny were called up to the team. Lunin on the list, as already reported, will be replaced by Dmitry Riznyk; Polesie midfielder Alexander Nazarenko will also come to the national team camp.
The Ukrainian team closes the standings of Group B1. Albania and the Czech Republic have three points each after two rounds, Georgia is in the lead with two victories to its credit.
