A new, already traditional promotion in conjunction with the Spotify platform – a year ago Blaugran had a collaboration with the legendary Rolling Stones
Barcelona has announced a new promotion in collaboration with its title sponsor, the platform Spotify. Like a year ago, it will be timed to coincide with the nearest El Clasico. For a duel against Real Madrid 26 October the players of the Catalan club will wear unique T-shirts with the group logo Coldplay.
Let us remember that in October last year a similar event was organized – then the legendary rock band The Rolling Stones performed in collaboration with the football club. The action was timed to coincide with the release of the long-awaited album “Hackney Diamonds”, the first in 18 years for the famous English band.
This time the reason is the same. Coldplay, the most popular British band of all time on Spotify, released their tenth album, Moon Music, in early October, already famous for the singles “feelslikeimfallinginlove” and “WE PRAY.”
The promotion applies to both the Blaugrana men’s and women’s team, who will play against Eibar on November 2 wearing the same limited edition Coldplay jerseys.
The exclusive releases go on sale Friday, October 18th. Related merch will also be available in the club stores (as well as on the website), in particular, sweatshirts and scarves, the design of which will use graphic images of the Moon Music album, as well as “corporate elements of FC Barcelona and Spotify.”
This action is of a charitable nature. Proceeds from the sale of these collections will be donated to a joint project between the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR/ACNUR) and the FC Barcelona Foundation.
The famous confrontation between Real Madrid and Barcelona will take place next Saturday, October 26, as part of the 11th round of the Spanish Primera League. The Catalan team currently leads the championship standings with 24 points. Real are second, three points behind.
