Coach Sergei Davydov told that there is no optimal age for learning quadruple jumps.
Davydov’s student, Alisa Zaikina, 11, performed a stunt with a quadruple Salchow during practice. The video was posted on Sergei Davydov’s team page.
The figure skater performed a quadruple Salchow – double Axel sequence and a quadruple Salchow – double toe loop cascade.
— There is no optimal age for learning quadruples. If you have the ability, desire and opportunity to work, then why not,” Davydov told .
Davydov is the coach of Russian Junior Grand Prix final winner Lev Lazarev and Russian Championship bronze medalist Maria Gordeeva.
Zaikina is the winner of the 2024 Russian Junior Championship.
