The Portuguese forward scored more than 900 goals during his professional career
Forward for Portugal and Saudi Al-Nasr Cristiano Ronaldo spoke about the prospect of reaching the mark 1000 heads for a career.
“Now I look at my life in the present moment. I can’t think long term anymore. “I said publicly that I wanted to reach 1,000 goals, but now everything is easier, because only last month I reached 900.”
“It’s about living in the moment, seeing how my legs react over the next few years. If I score 1,000 goals, that’s fine, but if I don’t, I’m already the player with the most goals in history.”
Previously, Ronaldo was recognized for his contribution to the history of Portuguese football. Cristiano was awarded the most prestigious award of the Portuguese Football Federation – Quinas de Platina.
Cristiano is Portugal’s all-time leading scorer (133 goals). The forward is also the national team’s record holder for the number of matches, having played in 216 matches.
In the current Nations League, Cristiano scored his 900th professional goal. The Portuguese national team, together with Ronaldo, is confidently leading in Group A1 after four rounds.
