Ukraine U-17 national team lost Croatia in the first sparring at the training camp in Rijeka – 1:2.
The Croats dominated the first half and were able to score twice. Already in the 4th minute, the hosts scored a quick goal, Drazen Yaman sent the ball into the goal after a cross from the left flank. Later, Tino Kusanovic realized a one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
The Ukrainians played more actively after the break, and missed several opportunities to win back. The blue-and-yellows managed to reduce the gap after a solo pass by Alexander Tkachenko.
Yuri Moroz’s team will hold another sparring match with the Croats in Rijeka on November 14. The meeting starts at 12:00 Kyiv time. The test matches will be one of the stages of preparation for the second round of qualifying for the Youth Euro 2025.
