Real Madrid midfielder moves to Manchester United
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Anchelotti confirmed negotiations with Manchester United on the transfer of a midfielder Casemiro.
“This morning I spoke with Casemiro. He wants to try a new challenge, a new opportunity. Me and the club understand that.”
“What he has done at this club and who he is, we have to respect. Negotiations are underway now, nothing official, but he wants to leave. We wish him all the best in his next test,” Ancelotti said at a press conference.
We will remind, Manchester United offered 70 million euros for Casemiro. The Brazilian has already agreed on the terms of a personal contract with the Red Devils. Casemiro will earn €18m a year until the end of the 2025/26 season.
The midfielder moved to Real Madrid in 2013. The contract of the 30-year-old Brazilian with Blancos is valid until the summer of 2025. The defensive midfielder made 48 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions last season.
Eric ten Hag’s team suffered two defeats in a row at the start of the Premier League and closes the standings. In the next round of Manchester United on August 22, Liverpool will host at home.
