Three-time Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Alexander Bolshunov took fifth place in the stellar Cup race of the Ageev brothers and Olympic champions Yuri Postrigay and Alexander Dyachenko in rowing and canoeing.
The star-studded “Race of Friendship” took place on Sunday between four-man kayaks at a distance of 200 meters. Each crew consisted of two professional rowers and two athletes from other disciplines.
Bolshunov performed in a horse-drawn carriage with gymnast Anna Sokolova, rowers Artyom Kononyuk and Mikhail Bartoshevich.
The victory was won by the crew, consisting of soccer players Karina Baklanova, Marina Kiskonen and rowers Dmitry Buyanov and Nikita Kozeev.
The Ageev Brothers Cup takes place on the Moscow Rowing Canal from August 25-28.
