The XXXII World Student Games (Universiade) were to be held in Yekaterinburg from August 8-19. During an online meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Federation of University Sports (FISU), it was decided to postpone Yekaterinburg’s right to host the Games in 2023. Also during the meeting, it was decided to temporarily ban athletes from Russia and Belarus from participating in sports competitions under the auspices of FISU.
