The long-awaited victory of Dynamo
The Kyiv club has finally broken the most unfortunate streak in its history, which included five defeats in a row – three in European competitions, two in the championship. In the fourth round, Dynamo minimally beat Lviv. Not to say that the victory turned out to be convincing, but given the situation in which the white-blues found themselves, three points are worth their weight in gold for them.
The first points in the championship were scored by Vorskla, who played a draw with Alexandria. The first victory was won by Rukh and Minai.
Minai rewrote history
Having beaten Ingulets in Petrovo – 2:1, Minay got his first away victory in the Premier League. It took the Transcarpathian team more than two seasons in the elite of Ukrainian football.
Moreover, this victory was the first for Minay in the last 20 matches in the Premier League. It should be noted that now there are five teams left in the national championship that have not yet won this season – Vorskla, Kryvbas, Lviv, Chernomorets and Ingulets.
Unexpected Leader
Kolas Kolos headed the UPL standings for at least a three-week break associated with national team matches. The team of Yaroslav Vyshnyak, having scored 10 points, is ahead of Shakhtar in terms of additional indicators. At the same time, we note an interesting point: Kolos and Shakhtar are not the most prolific teams so far this season (Kovalevites have five goals, Miners have four), but even these indicators are enough for them to lead.
“I am glad that we have a team that gives themselves on the field and deserves to show results. First place in the Premier League? I understand that it is situational – we are not head and shoulders above our rivals. This first place should not affect anything, we are not looking at it, ”Kolos’ mentor Yaroslav Vishnyak called for a balanced attitude to the results of his team.
Difficult move by Shakhtar and potentially scandalous match
The Donetsk team continues to gain points. True, the Pitmen’s wins in the championship are very difficult – all three turned out to be minimal. The latter – over Chernomorets – runs the risk of becoming scandalous. It’s all about Ocheretko’s winning goal in the sixth stoppage minute.
The ball after a long-range strike by midfielder Shakhtar hooked Traore and flew into the net. According to some experts and journalists, Taore was offside at the moment of impact. The quality of the replays and broadcast does not make it possible to say this with 100% certainty, and VAR was not involved in this match.
Shadow Favorite
However, do not forget about the Dnieper-1. Oleksandr Kucher’s team is in third place, losing one point to Kolos and Shakhtar, having spent a match less. At the same time, Dnipro is the best team in almost all respects in the first part of the championship.
Dnepr-1 scored eight goals in three matches (only Zorya had more – 10, but the Lugansk team – the most cheerful start team – also conceded eight), did not miss a single goal, beating Veres, Metalist 1925, strong by today’s standards, and of course Dynamo . So far, Dnipro, at least in the championship, justify the advances given. Let’s see what happens in the longer run.
Unsuccessful tour for Kharkov
Both Metallists – regular and numbered – lost in the fourth round for the first time this season. 1925 – devastatingly lost to Dnepr-1, ordinary – minimally lost to Kolos. At the same time, Metalist 1925 conceded more in the match against Dnipro than in the previous three rounds.
As a result, in the national championship-2022/2023 after the fourth round there are only three teams left that have not lost this season – Kolos, Shakhtar and Dnipro-1.
Talles breakthrough
In the last incomplete season, the Brazilian midfielder Ruha played nine matches in the Ukrainian championship, in which he scored one goal. In this – in four fights he scored three goals. True, everything is in one. In the fourth round, Talles’ hat-three allowed Rukh to beat Zorya, and the midfielder himself to top the list of scorers.
It is noteworthy that each of the two best snipers of this season, except for Talles, scored three goals in Bezborodko’s asset in four matches than three clubs – Kryvbas (not a single goal scored), Chernomorets and Lviv (two each), and the same number as two teams – Dynamo and Metalist 1925.
