Russian figure skater Dmitry Kozlovsky acting in pair skating with Alexandra Boykova explained why their pair will miss the Russian team’s trial skates.
– Dear friends! Due to my previous injury, my coaches and I decided to skip the Russian team trial skates to ensure a quality recovery, designed to rule out further physical activity restrictions during the season.
Now we are recovering and gaining the form needed to perform at the appropriate level.
We hope that in the very near future we will be able to delight you with our exciting new programs on the ice! See you soon,” Kozlovsky wrote on the social network.
Boikova and Kozlovsky are 2020 European champions, bronze medalists at the World Championships, champions of Russia. At the 2022 Games in Beijing, the couple took fourth place.
