Sergio Perez crashed in the first segment
Pilot McLaren Lando Norris became the winner Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying. This is the Briton’s second pole position in the 2024 season.
Norris beats McLaren team-mate by 0.022s Oscar Piastri. The third time showed Max Verstappen from Red Bull, losing to the qualifying winner by 0.046 s.
Also in the top 10 of qualifying were Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), Daniel Ricciardo (RB) and Yuki Tsunoda (RB).
It should be noted that Red Bull driver Sergio Perez crashed in the first qualifying segment. Mercedes representative George Russell also failed to make it to the second segment.
Verstappen leads the overall Formula 1 standings comfortably, 84 points ahead of Norris. The main race, the Hungarian Grand Prix, will take place on Sunday, July 21. The start is at 16:00.
