The Dutchman won another title after the Las Vegas Grand Prix
Four-time world champion Formula 1 Max Verstappen commented on winning another title in the Royal Races.
“It’s been a long season. Of course we started off amazing, it was almost like cruising speed, but then we had a rough ride. But as a team we stuck together, we kept working to improve and we pulled ahead.”
“I’m incredibly proud of everyone on the team and what they’ve done for me. And to stand here as a four-time world champion is certainly something I never thought possible. So now I just feel relieved in some ways, but also a lot of pride.”
“Of course, it was a very difficult season. “I think also as a person, it’s very difficult at times and I had to stay calm.”
“In some ways, I still prefer last season, I really liked it. But I think this season has taught me a lot of lessons and I’m very proud of how we handled it as a team. This also makes this season very special and wonderful.”
Verstappen won the 2024 championship ahead of schedule at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver has held the championship title since 2021.
There are two rounds left in Formula 1 until the end of the 2024 season. The next Qatar Grand Prix will take place from November 29 to December 1.
