Ocon’s place in Alpine at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be taken by Jack Douhan, for whom this will be his Formula 1 debut. Earlier it became known that Duen will become Alpine’s second pilot in the 2025 season, joining Pierre Gasly.
Esteban Ocon, 28, made his Formula 1 debut in August 2016 at the Belgian Grand Prix and has since finished on the podium four times, including a win at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix. This victory was the first for the Alpin team, which was created on the basis of Renault, for which Ocon has competed since 2020.
In the summer of 2021, Esteban signed a new contract with the French team until the end of 2024, which is now coming to an end and will not be extended.
