Athletistic/Tennis. Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova, ranked 26th in the world rankings, reached the quarter-finals of the WTA-1000 tournament in Miami (USA) for the first time in her career.
In the 1/8 final against the Chinese tennis player Zheng Qinwen, who occupies the 23rd place in the world ranking, Potapova (23) won with the score of 6:4, 7:6 (7:4) in 1 hour and 41 minutes of play. The Russian athlete shot from start to finish, double faulted and converted four out of five break points. Qinwen had nine aces, two double faults and three converted break points out of five won.
In the quarterfinals, Potapova will meet the third racket in the world, the American Jessica Pegula.
