Marta and Barbora defeated British Christie and Collins
Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk And Barbora Kreychikova from the Czech Republic reached the semi-finals of the doubles tournament WTA 250 V Birmingham.
In the quarter-finals, Kostyuk and Kreychikova, who received the second seed, beat Britain’s Freya Christie and Ali Collins. The duel lasted an hour and a half.
In the first set, Marta and Barbora won with a score of 6:3. In the second installment, the Ukrainian and the Czech were leading 4:2, but gave two games to their opponents on their serve and lost 5:7. At the super tie-break, Kostyuk and Kreychikova were stronger – 10:5.
In the 1/2 finals, Marta and Barbora will play with Magda Lynette and Bernarda Pera, who defeated Nadezhda Kichenok and Alicia Rosolska in the first round.
