Lyudmila, paired with Elena Ostapenko from Latvia, defeated the duet of Magda Linett / Bernard Pera (Poland / USA). The meeting lasted an hour and a half of pure time and was interrupted due to prolonged rain.
The first set went to Lynette and Pera. In the second set, Kichenok and Ostapenko won without losing a single game on their serve. At the super tie-break, the Ukrainian and the Latvian took advantage at the beginning and brought the match to victory.
