Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov will not perform at the Masters Series tournament in Cincinnati, stems from the grid posted on the competition’s website.
In the first round of the tournament, Khachanov was scheduled to play against Briton Andy Murray. The place of the Russian was taken by the representative of Australia Alexei Popyrin. Murray also withdrew from the Masters, replaced by German Daniel Altmaier.
Khachanov last played on June 6, where he lost to Serbian Novak Djokovic in the French Open quarter-finals. Then the Russian withdrew from several tournaments due to a stress fracture and a crack in the sacrum.
The Cincinnati tournament runs from August 12-20.
