Lyudmila Kichenok and Ostapenko withdrew from the final of the doubles tournament in Eastbourne

The Ukrainian-Latvian duo failed to win the second WTA title in a row

Ukrainian Lyudmila Kichenok and Elena Ostapenko from Latvia withdrew from final doubles tournament of the WTA 500 series in Eastbourne. The duet did not enter the court because of the injury to the big toe of the Latvian tennis player.

Alexandra Krunic from Serbia and Magda Linett from Poland became the champions of the doubles tournament in Eastbourne. Note that they reached the final after Serena Williams and Ons Jaber withdrew from the semi-final match.

Last week, Kichenok and Ostapenko won the doubles tournament in Birmingham on the refusal of their rivals. This is their first joint WTA title.

Today, Ostapenko played the final match in the singles tournament in Eastbourne. Elena lost in two sets to Petra Kvitova – 3:6, 2:6.
