Athletistic/Tennis. Russian tennis player Vera Zvonareva and German representative Laura Siegemund have reached the quarter-finals of the US Open. In the third round of the tournament, they beat the American duo of Robin Montgomery and Clairvy Ngunou 6:4, 6:4.

The match lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes, during which Zvonareva and Siegemund scored an ace, converted four break points and committed seven double faults. Montgomery and Ngunu converted two break points and eight double faults.

To reach the semi-finals, the Russian-German pair will have to face either Miyo Kato (Japan) and Aldila Sutjiadi (Indonesia), or Victoria Azarenka (Belarus) and Beatrice Haddad-Maya (Brazil).
