The Ukrainian failed to make it to the quarterfinals
Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmila Kichenok completed performances in doubles at the tournament WTA 1000 in Guadalajara (Mexico).
Kichenok paired with Arancha Rus (Netherlands) failed to make it to the quarterfinals. In the second round, the pair of Kichenok and Rus lost to the tandem of Gabriela Dabrowski / Erin Routliffe (Canada / New Zealand), seeded third at the tournament.
The pairs exchanged victories in the first two sets – 3:6 and 6:4. In the decisive game, Dabrowski and Routliff managed to convert the match point on the fifth attempt (11:9).
Thus, Ukraine was left without representatives at the tournament in Guadalajara. Earlier, Dayana Yastremskaya left the doubles, and in the singles, in addition to Dayana, Marta Kostyuk and Angelina Kalinina dropped out of the tournament.
