On the night of March 11, during the 1/16 finals, he lost against the Czech Jiri Legechka (32nd in the world) in two sets with a score of 4:6, 4:6.

The tennis players spent 1 hour and 18 minutes on the court. At the end of the match, Rublev had an ace, an error on his serve and not a single opportunity to break. Legechka completed nine serves, committed two double faults and converted two break points on four attempts.

In the 1/8 finals of the Indian Wells tournament, Jiri Legechka will face the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas. The thousand-meter final in the California desert will take place on March 17, and the prize money for the men’s portion of the competition in 2024 is $8.9 million.
