In his match against Spanish tennis player Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina, ranked 28th in the world rankings, Rublev won in straight sets with a score of 7:6 (12:10), 6:4.

The opponents spent 2 hours and 4 minutes on the field. During the match, Rublev hit five aces, converted two out of seven break points and committed a double fault. Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina played three serves, converted one break point out of six and committed three double faults.

To reach the quarter-finals, Rublev will play with the 25th world racket from the Netherlands, Tallon Grikspoor. Previously, they met twice on the field and both times the Russian won.
