Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic reported on social media that he had undergone successful surgery following a torn meniscus.
Djokovic withdrew from the French Open on June 4 due to a right knee injury. In the quarter-finals, Novak had to play with the Norwegian Casper Ruud.
“The day before, I had to make some difficult decisions after suffering a torn meniscus. I’m still processing everything, but I’m happy to tell you that the surgery went well. “I am very grateful to the team of doctors who were by my side,” Djokovic wrote.
Earlier, L’Equipe reported that the 37-year-old tennis player would need at least three weeks to recover.
