Russian Lyudmila Samsonova gained 11 places in the race for the Women’s Tennis Situation (WTA) championship, an updated version of which was published on the organization’s website.
Last week, the 25-year-old became the winner of the WTA 250 tournament in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (Netherlands), defeating Canadian Bianca Andreescu in the final. In the version of the championship race on June 17, the Russian moved from 36th to 25th place.
There were no changes to the race’s top 20; Iga Šwiątek is still in the lead. Russian Anastasia Potapova lost three positions (26th place).
