Serbian tennis players Novak Djokovic and Dusan Lajović have confirmed their participation in the next Olympic Games, which will take place in Paris, reports the press service of the Serbian Olympic Committee.
In early June, Djokovic, 37, ended his performance at Roland Garros prematurely, withdrawing from the quarterfinals due to a meniscus injury. The Serbian underwent knee surgery and continues to recover.
Djokovic holds the record for most Grand Slam singles titles for men and women, along with Margaret Court (24). The Serbian has competed in four Olympics and won a bronze medal at the 2008 Games.
The Paris Olympics tennis tournament will take place from July 27 to August 4 on clay. Earlier, 22-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal of Spain also confirmed his participation in the Olympics.
