Russian Daria Kasatkina moved up two places in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, an updated version of which was published on the organization’s website.
On Saturday, Kasatkina, 27, won the WTA tournament in Eastbourne. The Russian tennis player defeated Canadian Leila Fernandez in the decisive match with a score of 6:3, 6:4 and won the seventh singles title of her career. Kasatkina moved from 14th to 12th place in the rankings.
Another Russian representative, Diana Schneider, who won the WTA 500 tournament in Bad Homburg (Germany) this weekend, climbed 17 places. She occupies her highest place in the ranking, 30th.
Poland’s Iga Szwiatek remains the leader of the WTA rankings. Behind her is American Cori Gauff, the top three is rounded off by Belarus’s Arina Sabalenko.
