Veronica’s nine-game winning streak snapped
Ukrainian tennis player Veronica Podrez became the tournament’s vice-champion ITF W15 in Dijon (France).
In the final of the competition, the 17-year-old Ukrainian lost to the second seed of the event, Fabienne Goettwart from Germany. Thus, Podrez broke a series of nine consecutive victories.
In the match, the Ukrainian tennis player made four double faults. Veronika made one break, but lost five of her “own” games to Gettvart.
In September, the Ukrainian triumphed at the event in Dinard. For 17-year-old Veronika, this victory was already the fourth in her career at ITF tournaments. This season, the Ukrainian also won the ITF W15 series tournament in Luxembourg.
