The Ukrainian tennis player is having a great season in the world doubles competitions.

Lyudmila Kichenok rose to third place in the world rankings for doubles players.

Thus, the Ukrainian tennis player improved his previous record by two places, which he set after winning the US Open with Alena Ostapenko from Latvia.

As noted by Big Tennis of Ukraine, Lyudmila Kichenok’s result is a new national record for doubles tennis and a repetition of the fully achieved rating for Ukrainian tennis as a whole. As you know, Elina Svitolina is in third place in the WTA singles rankings in September 2017.

We remind you that Lyudmila Kichenok won 11 WTA doubles titles in her career, which is also a national record for doubles tennis. Among other things, she has one Grand Slam title (US Open 2024) and one WTA 1000 (Cincinnati 2022). Lyudmila also has a Grand Slam title in mixed doubles (Wimbledon 2023).
