De Minaur moves Rublev from eighth place in ATP championship race

Australian Alex De Minaur after defeating the British Jack Draper in the 1/8 finals of the Masters series tennis tournament in Paris, he beat the Russian Andrei Rublev in the ATP Championship race.

The match ended with a score of 5:7, 6:2, 6:3 in favor of De Minaur (9th seed). The Australian is now eighth in the Race, the Russian is ninth. The Championship Race takes into account ranking points scored by tennis players during the current season. The eight athletes with the most points qualify for the ATP Finals.

Currently, five players have ensured their participation in the competition: Italian Jannik Sinner, Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, German Alexander Zverev, Russian Daniil Medvedev and American Taylor Fritz. In addition to De Minaur and Rublev, Serbian Novak Djokovic, Norwegian Kasper Ruud, Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas are competing for the three remaining places.

Rublev did not lose his chances of participating in the final tournament. He participated in the ATP 250 category competition in Metz, France, which will take place from November 3 to 9. If he succeeds, the Russian will be able to beat Djokovic and Ruud in the championship race.

The ATP final tournament will be held from November 10 to 17 in Turin.
