Belarusian tennis player Arina Sabalenko finished the year in first place in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, an updated version of which was published on the official website of the organization.
Last week, Sabalenka reached the semi-finals of the WTA Finals, where she lost to the eventual winner, American Cori Gauff.
Poland’s Iga Szwiatek took second place in the standings, with Gauff completing the top three.
Russia’s first racket remained Daria Kasatkina occupying ninth position. Diane Schneider lost one place and became 13th. Anna Kalinskaya And Mirra Andreeva retained their place – 13th and 17th respectively.
