Russian tennis players Daniel Medvedev , Andrei Rublev And Mirra Andreeva were among the participants in the Abu Dhabi exhibition tournament – the World Tennis League.
The tournament, which will feature 16 top players, will take place in the United Arab Emirates from December 19 to 22 and will be held for the third time. The tennis players will be divided into 4 teams of 4 people.
Rublev and Medvedev will play in the same team – the “Falcons”, and the representative of Kazakhstan Elena Rybakina and Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia will also perform for her.
Mirra Andreeva, as well as Belarusian Arina Sabalenka, American Taylor Fritz and Indian Sumit Nagal will compete for the Hawks team.
Also participating in the tournament will be Iga Swiatek, Barbora Krejcikova, Hubert Hurkacz, Kasper Ruud (Eagles team), Paula Badosa, Yasmin Paolini, Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas (Kites team).
Medvedev, Rublev and Andreeva have already become champions of the World Tennis League in 2023, playing for the same team – their partner was also the American Sofia Kenin. In 2022, the tournament was won by Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
