The Greek lost to the 94th racket of the world
Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas dropped out after the first round of the US Open-2022.
The fourth seed lost in four sets to Daniel Elahi Galan of Colombia, who is ranked 94th in the ATP rankings. Note that the Colombian began his journey in qualifying.
The US Open remains Stefanos’ most unsuccessful Grand Slam. Here he never went beyond the third round.
Recall that the Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur made it to the second round of the US Open-2022, sensationally beating the seventh racket of the world, the representative of Romania, Simona Halep.
On the second day of the US Open, three more Ukrainians will play in the first round of the women’s singles tournament – Angelina Kalinina, Marta Kostyuk and Lesya Tsurenko.
