All of them will be donated to the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund, which helps victims of the mass war unleashed by the Russians in Ukraine.
The largest amount is raised even before the official competitions begin – during the Fans’ Week, which is held before the tournament. The Tennis Plays for Peace charity match alone generated $1.2 million.
It should be noted that tennis stars Rafael Nadal, Iga Sventek, Coco Gauf took part in the charity event. Ukraine was represented by Dayana Yastremska, Daria Snigur, Katarina Zavatskaya, Olga Savchuk and Serhiy Stakhovsky.
It will be remembered that the winner of the US Open-2022 Spaniard, Carlos Alcaraz, became the youngest first racket in the world in history.
