Novosad won a second medal at the World Championships in ski acrobatics

The Ukrainian athlete became the bronze medalist of the world championship in singles.

On Thursday, February 23, the women’s ski acrobatics medals at the 2023 Freestyle and Snowboard World Championships, taking place today in Georgian Bakuriani, were raffled.

According to the qualification results, two Ukrainians, Anastasia Novosad and Olga Polyuk, reached the final of the competition, but only the first was selected for the superfinal, entering the top 6 with the second result.

Novosad completed the decisive jump with 82.84 points, which allowed him to become the bronze medalist of the world championship.

The Ukrainian athlete was overtaken by the Chinese representative Fanyu Kon, who became the winner, and the Australian Danielle Scott.

Ukrainian Polyuk took ninth place with a score of 66.15 points.

Thus, Novosad took the lead in World Freestyle Championships awards in the history of Ukraine.

In addition to the bronze in individual competitions, Anastasia previously won the team bronze in the same championship with Alexander Okipnyuk and Dmitry Kotovsky.

Before that, only Oleksandr Abramenko, who was a silver medalist in 2019, and Olga Volkova, who won bronze in 2011, won medals as part of the Ukrainian national team.
