Russian sprint all-around champion Mikhail Kazelin has admitted he has yet to calculate the next steps regarding his doping disqualification, which had previously been significantly reduced.
On June 23, the RUSADA Anti-Doping Disciplinary Commission (DAC) considered the Caselin case, in the sample of which as of October 9, 2020, traces of the banned substance Ligandrol (LGD-4033) were found. The decision has been made to reduce the Athlete’s Minor Fault based suspension from the standard 4 years to 12 months, subject to a period of Ineligibility from October 27, 2020 to January 29, 2021. As such, the Athlete had to serve nine months of disqualification. It will end at the end of February 2023.
“The suspension has been reduced by nine months, but I won’t be able to play until the end of February 2023,” Kazelin told .
– How will your work be articulated from now on, will you continue to seduce?
“You still have to think about it, but with the evidence I had, the faith went down a bit. I did not intentionally take illegal substances. In general, they (DAK RUSADA) agreed with the explanation , there were data from the German laboratory, which it was foolish to dispute, but they still had complaints.
Earlier, Caselin reported that the banned substance entered his body with a contaminated biologically active additive (BAA).
