Belarusian biathlete Lazovsky said he spent a lot of money on additional insulated equipment

Belarusian biathlete Dmitry Lazovsky told that before the season he spent a lot of personal money on extra insulated gear in order to feel comfortable running in the cold.

On Wednesday, men’s and women’s sprints are planned in Tyumen as part of the third stage of the Alfa-Bank Russian Biathlon Cup. The races were postponed from December 9 to December 6 due to severe frosts. The decision to organize the competition will be made on the day of departure.

— This year I spent a lot of money on additional insulated equipment. It’s one of life’s tricks: put on as many clothes as possible. But from a distance, you feel clumsier than wearing lighter clothes.

— How do you feel about the cold? There are simply biathletes who can’t stand it at all, and there are those who are happy with it.

“If it can’t be changed, then why worry? There are limits to what is allowed here. If your throat feels like it’s burning, it’s really dangerous. If you feel good, you can run,” Lazovsky told .

Watch the live broadcast of the women’s sprint in Tyumen from 8:35 a.m. on the channel, and the men’s sprint from 10:30 a.m.
