Russian biathlete Kirill Bajine told how he started training with the coach of the Russian women’s national team Mikhail Shachilov.
— How did you end up with Mikhail Shachilov, who is better known as a women’s coach, but still helps you today?
— I took 11 courses in Novouralsk and since there is no university I would like to enroll in, I then decided to move to Yekaterinburg. When I entered university, I joined another team in the city of Yekaterinburg. In Novouralsk, only youth sports are developed and there are no prospects beyond that. That year I went to the competition with Mikhail Viktorovich and told him I wanted to train with him. He agreed,” Bajine told Metaratings.ru.
Bazhin is the winner and laureate of the Russian Championship, winner of the Russian Cup, world champion among juniors in the relay race.
