The Winter Spartakiad of the Strongest will be held from February 8 to 18. The competition will take place in the Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk Territories, as well as in the Tyumen, Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions. Russian and Belarusian athletes will take part in the Spartakiad of the Strongest. The Spartakiade program includes 16 sports for the strongest.
— We consider Spartakiad to be the main start of the season, for which we have been preparing since the beginning of the year. This is the main start of the season to join the national team next year. If we compare the competition, it will be inferior to international competitions and in the Olympic Games, all countries, all the strongest in the world, compete there. But the Spartakiad will bring together all the strongest athletes of the country and juniors capable of keeping up with the leaders of the national teams.
At the moment we are in Zlatoust, the direct preparation for these competitions has been going on for two weeks. Two workouts each. “We are in fighting mode and in good spirits,” reports the correspondent, according to Latypov’s words.
The biathlon competitions within the framework of the Spartakiad will take place from February 10 to 18 in Zlatoust.
