Victory of the biathlete Victoria Slivko in the pursuit of the strongest Spartakiad is quite natural, the athlete clearly looked like the favorite of this race, the two-time Olympic champion told Dmitry Vasilyev .
On Sunday, Slivko won the 10-kilometer pursuit race at the Spartakiade of the Strongest in Zlatoust. The athlete covered the distance in 32 minutes 6.4 seconds with one failure. Second place went to Irina Kazakevich (+24.8, one miss), the top three was completed by Anastasia Goreeva (+36.0) with three misses. The winner of the sprint race, Anastasia Batmanova, took seventh place, making three mistakes.
— In general, Spartakiad races are quite interesting and unpredictable. And they are pleasant surprises. For example, the day before, Nastya Batmanova performed an incredible miracle. But usually, such events always hold surprises. Here, of course, I would like to highlight the work of Ira Kazakevich from 17th place and Kristina Reztsova from 12th place. They were simply surprised. But Slivko’s victory can above all be considered a surprise. Vika was the clear favorite in this race. But Ira and Christina are just great guys. In general, the races are very interesting. Despite the difficult wind conditions, the athletes achieved outstanding results,” Vassiliev told the correspondent.
The biathlon tournament at Spartakiad will last until February 18.
On Tuesday January 13, individual races will take place at the Spartakiade. Watch the live broadcast of the women’s race from 08:35 (Moscow time), the men’s race from 12:05 on the channels “”, “Match! Arena” and “Match! Planet”, as well as the sites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
