French biathlete Julia Simon won gold in the pursuit race World Championship 2024 in the Czech Nove Mesto.

Simone made only one mistake on four shooting stages and ended up being more than 46 seconds ahead of the Italian Lisa Vittozzi. Another representative from France Justine Brezat-Boucher took the third step of the podium. Let us remember that earlier at this World Championships Simon won gold in the sprint.

The best among Ukrainians was Kristina Dmitrenkowhich took 26th place. Julia Jima And Anastasia Merkushina finished in the middle of the fourth ten. Irina Petrenko became 45th.

Today, February 11, the men’s pursuit race will take place at the 2024 World Cup. Its start is at 18:05 Kyiv time. Ukraine will be represented in this race by only two biathletes – Dmitry Pidruchny and Anton Dudchenko. At the same time, Artem Prima will miss this start. According to the coach of the Ukrainian men’s national team, Juraj Sanitra, this decision was made solely for strategic purposes.
