The Argentine basketball team is preparing to seek pre-Olympic qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The Argentine basketball team is facing one of its last chances to get a ticket to Paris 2024 Olympic Games: the Olympic pre-qualifier in Santiago del Estero. Those led by Pablo Prigioni will be locals in a tough competition where they must be the best of the eight teams to qualify for next year’s pre-Olympic.
And to achieve this, we need to step by step. To do so, Argentina must first be the leader or second in its group after the first two matches. It is the first in each zone that will qualify for the semifinals of the pre-qualifier, where the first will cross against the second of the opposite group. The winner of each match will go to the final and only the champion will enter next year’s pre-Olympic.
This is the squad roster Paul Prigioni (You must cut two to leave the squad at 12 players):
-Aaliya, Lee
-Bressan, Gonzalo
-Brussino, Nicholas
– Caffaro, Francisco
-Campazzo, Facundo
-Chapero, Thomas
-Corbalan, Gonzalo
-Deck, Gabriel
-Delfino, Carlos
-Fernandez, John
-Fjellerup, Maximus
– Garino, Patrick
– Redivo, Lucio
-Vildoza, Luca
Argentina come to this tournament after intense preparations in Europe, where they played friendlies with Catalonia, Belgium and the Czech Republic. He then returned to the country to train in Obras and a match against Uruguay in Santiago, in addition to a training session with the U-22 team.
The albiceleste team will share a group with Bahamas and Cuba. Panama, also part of group A, will not travel for economic reasons. The current status of the Cuban team is not the best and in fact it leads 0-6 in the Olympic qualifiers, so it should not represent a big challenge for the other two teams. The great rivalry is in the Bahamas, coming to the country with four NBA: DeAndre Ayton (Phoenix Suns) Buddy Hield (Indiana Pacers) kay jones (Charlotte Hornets) and Eric Gordon (Phoenix Suns).
Bahamians have so far in this group:
-Deandre Ayton
-Buddy Hield
-Kai Jones
-Eric Gordon
-Domnick Bridgewater
– Jaraun Burrows
-Garvin Clarke
– Kadeem Coleby
– Radshad Davis
-Sammy Hunter
-Danrad Knowles
-Lourawls Nairn
-Willis Mackey Jr.
-Franco Miller
-Travis Munnings
– Kentawan Smith
-David Nesbitt
-AJ Storr
-Michael Thompson
