Boston was crowned the champion of the National Basketball Association this season. The team, in which the Ukrainian Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk plays, confidently won the regular season, after which they did not meet any resistance from their opponents in the playoff series.
The Celts beat all of their opponents, losing only three games in the four series. One of them in the final against Dallas. However, the Texans weren’t good enough for more.
The Celtics scored a decisive victory over the Mavericks at home. Boston easily won the match 106:88 and closed the series 4:1.
Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk entered the final for the last 40 seconds of the match and scored a rebound near his backboard. Thus, Mykhailyuk became the second Ukrainian to win the NBA championship.
