The US ruler also added, in a statement made shortly after the verdict: “My administration will continue to work tirelessly and pursue all possibilities to bring Brittney and Paul Whelan (US citizen who was arrested in 2018 in the Asian country on charges of espionage) home safely as soon as possible.”
